Forms of Education
When you enroll in the School of Journalism, we offer you a choice of the following forms of study:
- Distance Education;
- Extramural Studies;
- Resident Instruction.
Distance Education
Distance Education – educational process using a set of telecommunications technologies, aimed at enabling students to master the basic amount of information they need without direct contact between students and teachers during the learning process (which can take place both synchronously and asynchronously), and can be an independent form of learning, and in addition to another more traditional form of education (full-time, part-time, correspondence or externship), if necessary giving a person the opportunity to learn
Suitable if you have basic knowledge and do not have a lot of free time.
Extramural Studies
Extramural studies is characterized by phases. In the first phase there is a base of knowledge, training literature and study it (the initial session), in the second – the test of the material learned (credit-examination session). At the same time, these phases noticeably lag behind each other in time (from several months to a year).
Correspondence courses are most often taken by people who combine study with work (on-the-job training), sports or creative activities, as well as because of the lower cost of education compared to full-time (full-time) form.
Resident Instruction
Full-time study is the classical type of study, in which the student methodically attends lectures and seminars for an entire semester, at the end of which he or she takes in-session exams.
Full-time education is the most common, standard form of obtaining school, secondary or higher vocational education. This type of learning involves personal contact with teachers, obtaining knowledge in an educational institution, mostly in the morning.
