security stops the presses Seven thousand copies of The UNITY News, the conference's daily newspaper, were not allowed to enter The Washington State Convention and Trade Center Friday morning because of Vice President Al Gore's visit. The loading docks of the convention center will be closed from 6:00 a.m. until noon because of increased security. Rotary Press delivered the papers at 7:00 only to be denied access to the building. "It's an inconvenience. We worked very hard on it. When you wake up in the morning the first thing you want to see is what you worked on," said Stephania Davis, managing editor of The UNITY News. The papers are expected to arrive at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel and Towers, where the newsroom is located, some time this morning. The UNITY newspaper staff will hand-deliver them to the convention center, said Ray Wong, systems editor of The UNITY News.
