It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in “A Powerful Alliance. A Force for Change”, the 2004 UNITY: Journalists of Color Convention & Career Expo on August 4 – 8, 2004 in Washington, D.C.

UNITY conventions are the largest journalism conventions in the world! UNITY 2004 will be more than just a combined convention of NAHJ, AAJA, NABJ and NAJA. UNITY 2004 will advance an agenda meant to make journalism more diverse, more accurate and more representative of our communities. We’re building a program that will make this convention a must-attend event for everyone in the industry, from beginners to veterans, including people on the business side of journalism. All convention sessions will be held at the Washington D.C. Convention Center.

• After July 1, 2004: All registrations postmarked after July 1, 2004, will be considered on-site.
  NOTE: If any outstanding balances are due, they must be paid in full in order to receive registration materials. Personal checks will not be accepted on-site.

  Included with registration: One ticket to the opening and closing events, an alliance banquet and the brunch. All special events will be ticketed.

As of July 20, all new registrations must be conducted on-site at the UNITY convention. Registration online, via fax and snail mail is now closed.

Refunds for cancellation will only be made if written request is received at the Convention Services Northwest Office postmarked by June 30, 2004. All cancellations and refunds are subject to $75 handling fee ($50 for students). No refunds or exchanges will be made after June 30, 2004.
